Pilot Training Flight Simulator Mission List

Browse the currently documented Pilot Training Flight Simulator mission types, starter routes, timed challenges, aircraft requirements, and world tour.

The current PTFS community mission table reports 114 missions, but the live Missions panel is the final list for your server. Use this page as a task index rather than a permanent count. Choose the departure island and airport in the UI to see the exact mission name, checkpoints, timer, and required aircraft.

Beginner and training missions

Training Centre currently documents two missions: Practice Flight with 11 checkpoints and no listed time limit, and Touch and Go with five checkpoints and no listed time limit. These are good first choices because they teach checkpoint order and runway work without the pressure of a broad map route.

Greater Rockford also offers straightforward destination flights in the current community table, including Flight to Grindavik, Flight to Izolirani, and Flight to Sauthemptona. Each is listed with three checkpoints and no time limit. Those routes are useful after a Training Centre circuit because they add map navigation while keeping the objective simple.

Destination and return flights

The current table includes many three-checkpoint flights between major regions. Examples include Tokyo to Grindavik, Sauthemptona, Larnaca, or Izolirani; Mellor to Izolirani, Paphos, Perth, or Sauthemptona; and Saba to Lukla, Saint Barthélemy, or Skopelos.

Some return routes use more checkpoints. Greater Rockford and Tokyo entries include return flights, while longer routes can pass through another airport. Read the route name and destination before spawning. A large-aircraft mission should begin at a field that supports the model and end at a runway with enough room.

Cargo missions

Community data lists cargo flights from Greater Rockford to Perth, Orenji, Larnaca, and Izolirani, plus cargo routes from Tokyo to several large destinations. The mission name supplies the freight theme; the live card decides whether a specific aircraft is required.

Use a cargo-capable model only when the current mission or your roleplay calls for it. Heavy cargo aircraft need large runways and wide taxi turns. A mission saying “Any aircraft” does not require choosing the largest option.

Timed and aircraft-specific missions

Race Pylons is currently documented from Greater Rockford and Mellor with the Extra 300s required. The community table reports 12 checkpoints and 2:30 for the Greater Rockford version and 10 checkpoints and 2:10 from Mellor. Those values are time-sensitive and must be confirmed in the live panel.

Other examples include TopGun Special from Tokyo using an F/A-18 Super Hornet, and low-level training from military locations. Community documentation also shows a UH-60 Black Hawk requirement in an aircraft-specific mission example. If the required model is locked, choose another mission instead of assuming any aircraft will register.

Sightseeing and long routes

Sightseeing missions use more checkpoints and reward smooth navigation rather than a direct point-to-point flight. The current table lists sightseeing from Greater Rockford and Tokyo. Check fuel, use a familiar aircraft, and avoid cutting corners that skip a marker.

ReallyAdvanced’s World Tour is documented as the longest mission, with 82 checkpoints, starting at Greater Rockford and eventually landing at Skopelos. The community page says it crosses the map and recommends a fast aircraft. Treat that as a long-session challenge: verify fuel behavior, controls, and time available before beginning.

Track unique and repeated completions

The community guide says the Missions UI records completion counts, and the official badges distinguish 50, 100, 200 total completions from All Missions Completed. Use a simple route log if you are pursuing the all-individual milestone. Record island, departure, mission name, and completed state; do not rely only on the overall points total.

Verification limits

Mission names, totals, checkpoint counts, timers, and aircraft requirements on this page are community reported, checked September 22, 2026. The official badge endpoint proves the milestone badges but not the active route catalog. Confirm every mission in the live panel before launch.
