The current Pilot Training Flight Simulator community aircraft navigation documents five main helicopter models: Bell 412, Chinook, UH-60 Black Hawk, Airbus H135, and Sikorsky S-92. Some rescue or transport variants require a gamepass. The live spawner is the final source for availability, liveries, and equipment in your server.

Where helicopters can operate
Helicopters can use airport aprons, helipads, carriers, coast guard stations, seabases, and the Oil Rig more flexibly than large fixed-wing aircraft. Community airport navigation identifies the Oil Rig as a helicopter-only or amphibious-friendly location and documents coast guard bases around Greater Rockford, Izolirani, Perth, Grindavik, and Orenji.
Flexibility does not remove the need for space. Begin at an open large airport, not a rooftop or crowded carrier. Practice a stable hover, rectangular circuit, approach, and vertical landing before using a confined location.
Pick a helicopter by activity
Use the H135 or another compact model for basic hovering and short civilian-style routes. Choose the Bell 412 or S-92 for larger utility or rescue roleplay. Use the UH-60 family for military or rescue scenarios. Choose the Chinook when the large tandem-rotor transport is central to the session and you have confirmed access.
Do not assign a “best helicopter” without a measurable task. A compact model may be easier on a small pad, while a larger model better fits a transport role. Exact speed and handling comparisons need the same device, server conditions, and test route.
Spawn and control a helicopter
Walk to a compatible spawner, select Helicopters, and inspect any lock message. Enter the pilot seat and open Controls. Start the engine, raise throttle gradually, and use small movement inputs. Community documentation reports A and D for left/right helicopter tilt on keyboard; touch and controller pilots should follow their live prompts.
Hover over one ground marking before flying away. Add one correction, recenter, and wait for the response. For landing, remove forward motion before descending. If the helicopter slides across the pad, pause the descent and recover the hover.

Rescue and winch equipment
The official Coast Guard pass currently describes four vehicles and four coast guard bases: Bell 412 Search and Rescue, MH-60 Jayhawk with a functioning winch, S-92 with a functioning winch, and an RHIB rescue boat. Its description reports Y and H for winch operation. The live Controls panel should confirm the current mapping on your device.
Do not expect a winch on the base model merely because a rescue variant has one. Verify the exact aircraft name, livery or variant, and pass ownership. Practice winch movement while hovering over an empty, open area before attempting a rescue roleplay near structures.
Common helicopter mistakes
Large continuous inputs create a swing that the next large correction makes worse. Descending while still moving sideways leads to unstable touchdowns. Taking off between buildings can hide rotor clearance. Switching helicopter models before learning one response pattern makes it difficult to tell whether the control or airframe changed.
Use a quiet airport, small corrections, and a consistent camera view. If the model reacts too strongly, disable advanced mode where available and reduce the input range. If a button is missing, check whether the selected variant supports it.
