A Pilot Training Flight Simulator gamepass is worth it when it unlocks a role, route, or aircraft you will use repeatedly and the current price fits your budget. It is not worth it merely because the spawner shows a lock. PTFS already has a broad aircraft sandbox, so test the free controls, airports, and mission types before paying for a specialized option.
Use a five-question value test
Ask whether you want the exact entitlement, how often you will use it, whether your preferred airports support it, whether the controls work well on your device, and whether a free aircraft already creates the same kind of flight. Then open the official pass and check the current price, description, sale state, and ownership warning.
Do not compare value using an old Robux table. A pass can change price or move to a replacement listing. Several current descriptions explicitly warn previous owners not to buy a duplicate.
Bundles versus single aircraft
Bundles can create more repeat value when you want several included roles. Seaplane Package provides five amphibious models and opens water routes. Coast Guard combines rescue helicopter variants, a boat, and bases. Presidential Aircraft and Private Jets provide several variants. C130 Hercules describes multiple Hercules roles.
A single-aircraft pass is easier to judge: do you specifically want the A380, F-22, F-16, F-35B, SR-71, An-225, Chinook, or another named model? If the answer depends only on a speed claim, stop. Exact performance rankings are not officially supplied and can change.
Value by player type
The ATC pass’s official description says its roleplay highlight has no effect on other players or planes and that free camera cannot be used while in the pilot seat. That limitation is central to its value.
Check duplicate ownership before value
A380, F-22, F-35B, An-225, Police Pickup Truck, Chinook, and Mighty Walrus currently include duplicate-listing warnings. These warnings explain that Roblox changed cross-game pass sales. If you own the older pass, buying the new listing is not extra value—it may be an unnecessary duplicate.
Check ownership on the signed-in account, join a fresh server, and inspect the unlock. If access still fails, verify the official description and account before spending again.
Test the role with free content
Before buying a large aircraft, fly a free airliner between two large airports and practice pushback, taxi, takeoff, approach, and gate parking. Before buying a military aircraft, use an available model to test advanced mode, formation, and airbase routes. Before buying Seaplane Package, fly a normal Cessna or Twin Otter-style route and study the water bases.
Before buying Coast Guard, learn helicopter hover and winch-style control concepts. Before buying ATC, spend time in a busy airport and decide whether communication and observation are the main activity you enjoy.
This trial does not reproduce the premium entitlement, but it reveals whether the underlying activity suits you.
Missions and badges should not force a purchase
Older community mission documentation notes that some aircraft-specific missions historically required pass aircraft. The live Missions panel decides the current requirement. Do not buy a pass solely because an old table says it is needed for completion.
If an active mission or badge path truly requires premium access, decide whether the entitlement has value beyond one checklist item. The official gamepass descriptions warn that purchases are not refundable.
A practical purchase decision
Strong value looks like this: you know the exact pass, checked the live price and entitlement, practiced the activity, use compatible airports, understand the controls, and expect repeated sessions. Weak value looks like this: you saw a locked icon, relied on an old price or speed ranking, ignored a duplicate warning, or expect the pass to grant authority over other players.
When undecided, wait. The current pass will still be listed if it remains on sale, while a rushed purchase cannot be refunded according to the developer descriptions. Recheck after an update because entitlements and sale state can change.
