Pilot Training Flight Simulator spreads airports, airfields, military bases, carriers, seabases, coast guard stations, and a heliport across several islands. Use the live airport selection screen and minimap as the final authority, because community maps and runway details can lag after a remodel. This hub gives you a current working index and shows how to choose a destination your aircraft can actually use.

Start at a large airport when learning a new aircraft. Greater Rockford, Perth International, Izolirani, Larnaca, and Tokyo International are currently documented as the largest fields with the broadest aircraft support. Move to medium airports, small strips, carriers, or water bases only after you understand the model’s controls and landing-speed guidance.

Build a route that fits the aircraft

Choose the destination before choosing the aircraft. Large airliners and heavy cargo aircraft need a large runway, wide taxiways, and enough space to turn. Regional jets and turboprops can use more destinations but still may not fit a very small strip. Light aircraft give the widest runway choice, while helicopters and amphibious aircraft can use specialized locations.

The community index warns that medium airports do not handle the largest aircraft such as the A380 or 747, and small fields are intended for short-takeoff aircraft. Treat that as practical guidance, then verify the live spawner and runway. A model being spawnable at the departure does not guarantee a sensible landing at the destination.

Always choose an alternate. If Saint Barthélemy’s terrain approach is too unstable, Perth offers a larger nearby option. If a carrier deck is occupied, return to an airbase or large airport. If a water base is crowded, use a runway that supports the amphibious model.

Read an airport code

PTFS community charts use four-letter ICAO-style identifiers. Greater Rockford is IRFD, Perth is IPPH, Larnaca is ILAR, Tokyo is ITKO, and Grindavik is IGRV. These codes help in ATC chat, flight plans, charts, and mission selection. They are location identifiers, not reward codes.

Some codes for carriers, seabases, coast guard stations, and special locations are explicitly described by the community as unofficial. Use them for PTFS navigation and roleplay, not as real-world aviation identifiers. The airport codes guide separates the current documented list by location type.

Use runway numbers and approach aids

Runway numbers approximate compass heading divided by ten. A runway labeled 36 points near north; 18 points near south; 09 near east; and 27 near west. Parallel runways use L and R. Match the aircraft heading to the runway well before final approach.

Where PAPI lights are present, the current community landing guide describes two white and two red as the target path. More white means high, and more red means low. Keep the aircraft within its displayed landing-speed range and make small corrections. Terrain-heavy fields such as Saint Barthélemy, Lukla, or Saba need an earlier setup than a long flat runway.

If the approach requires a dive, a sharp last-second turn, or excessive speed, go around. Add power, climb, clear the runway area, and return with a longer final or divert to the alternate.

Use maps without following stale terrain

The community Wiki exposes multiple maps with different dates. One airport map is dated May 2024, while its island-map data references a later image and also warns about an older Perth remodel. That makes the map useful for broad island relationships, not a guarantee that every taxiway and coastline is current.

Compare the map with the live minimap and airport selection screen. Use large islands—Greater Rockford, Perth, Orenji, Cyprus, Izolirani, Grindavik, Sauthemptona, Skopelos, and Saint Barthélemy—as navigation anchors. At the destination, trust the current runway and obstacles you can see.

First airport practice route

Spawn a light aircraft at Greater Rockford, open Controls, and identify a nearby large or medium destination. Note the departure and destination codes, runway heading, island direction, and alternate. Take off, climb before turning, and keep the minimap visible. Begin descent early and make a long final.

After landing, taxi clear and repeat the route in reverse. Once both directions are stable, change one variable: a larger aircraft, a smaller airport, a night flight, or a mission. Changing everything at once makes it hard to diagnose a missed approach.

Verification status

Airport names, classes, codes, map positions, runway directions, and restrictions on these pages are community reported and were checked September 22, 2026. The official Roblox record verifies the experience identity but does not publish an airport database. Verify the current UI before relying on a code, runway count, length, gate count, or exact map position.
